Bass guitarist
& tutor

Tuition &
Services
Based in Brighton, I have a music studio where I teach privately (easily accessible and with parking). I am also available for online tutoring and home visits. My professional equipment is provided at all lessons. My services include the following:
Bass guitar tuition
Grades: I use the Trinity or Rockschool syllabus to help students work through the grades and earn professional music qualifications.
Music Theory tuition
Acoustic Guitar tuition
Ukulele: perfect for kids or beginners to music, can be taught in groups too.
Bass Guitar set-ups: If your instrument suffers from fret-buzz, high action or intonation issues you may require technical adjustments to improve playability.
My teaching method is to get students playing straight away and enjoying their instrument', whilst building a solid foundational technique. Then by applying theoretical knowledge, I provide students with the skills to learn songs independently and enable their ability to form their own creative ideas, encouraging students to use their intuition, creativity and ears. I design structured practice routines to help students develop between lessons and provide sheet music and song examples based on each student's taste. I teach all aspects of bass playing, from finger, pick and slap techniques, fretboard knowledge, ear training, improvisation, theory, sight-reading, and a broad range of styles.
If you want to play to a professional standard or just have fun and learn your favourite songs...
